Leveraging Uniqueness to Promote Adventure Experience

Airboat tours were not a main attraction in their state area, so we focused on creating Google and META campaigns to drive awareness among the target audience.

The Challenge

The brand’s ultimate challenge was its lack of visibility in a competitive tourism industry.  

  • The company struggled to establish brand recognition and create an impactful marketing strategy.
  • They weren’t centrally located, making it difficult to pull in the foot traffic from the city center.
  • There was a lack of understanding and education about airboat tours and what they offered their customers.
  • Their higher price point added additional challenges to booking customers.

The Solution 

We had to focus on establishing the brand with the local audience and gaining visibility among the high volume of tourist attractions. 

  1. First, we launched a Google campaign for boat tours. This piqued interest because they were the only airboat tour option among all their direct competitors – sailboat, sunset, and dolphin tours. This established them as the most unique boat tour experience in the area. 
  2. We then leveraged this uniqueness on Google Search to establish brand awareness, educate the target audience on airboat tours, and highlight the differences between them and their competitors. Airboat tours offered a faster boat, different scenery, and more wildlife. 
  3. We also highlighted the difference in geographical location to entice people with an entirely different experience than they would get on the bayfront.
  4. Finally, we implemented META ad campaigns on Facebook and Instagram, targeting people looking for things to do with their kids and people traveling to the area on vacation. We used the client’s amazing visual assets, featuring the boats, the creek, wildlife, and families having fun. This raised the profile of airboat tours in the area.

Results

  • 26.44% increase in new leads via Google Search Ads and META Ads
